I think it's simply just the market lumping ORCL into the ERP company basket. It's pretty factual that the ERPs are hurting because of the shift in corporate spending over to Y2K. But IMHO, Oracle should be valued more as an Internet side bet where the spending appears to be continuing. I think Larry Ellison is doing an excellent job of positioning Oracle in that sales space.

I'm just looking at the current sell-off as an investment opportunity.
