Tito,Nice Article about the increasing use for Chips!

War is Ugly and most of us don't want one... But instruments of wars such as Bombs are being
built with increasing use for Chips. The longer the war goes on, the more bombs (and Chips)
are lost that will eventually be replaced...

Last night while channel surfing I saw a TV program talking about the lack of preparedness of the military for the y2k issue. They were saying that a large part of the tanks, planes and GPS programs were not compatiable with the year 2000. Anyone else have information on this broadcast. Katherine, you are probably have the best sources on this issue. If true, besides a protection issue, there will be additional needs for chips.

Will this be good or bad for AMAT and INTC? I am wondering how to play this 2000 issue and how it will impact these stocks. Our discussion in the past was that it is only a bump in the road, but what impact will it have on AMAT and INTC? CSCO, seems to be a big winner with the internet.

Just my opinions.
