I'm just fishing for insights from people who are more options oriented than I am. I wouldn't expect it to work every time. I'm just sort of wondering whether there's an edge to be found by limiting yourself to those parabolic short covering moves that simply defy all logic. I certainly understand your point about the move being an extended one and the risks that would expose you to. But perhaps it is offset somehow by the more frequent significant drops. I don't know.
Maybe there's also a way we can recognize when the short covering could be reaching a climax or be close to an end based on changes in total short positions in the security etc... Any insights from anyone???
