Can't we all just get along?

OK. Apologies in advance for a dumb question, but is there common ground upon which AAPL and RNWK to form an alliance?

QT has the edge in image quality and cross-platform compatibility. Combined with Final Cut it turns any website into a media content provider.

G2 has the edge in streaming technology and has amassed a huge lead in corporate alliances.

AAPL looks to make money selling hardware and content creation software.

RNWK looks to make money by licensing its proprietary technology. [In theory, it could appropriate/incorporate QT code and pay AAPL a licensing fee on anything it shipped.]

Neither is in a position to take out the other and both have been burned trying to collaborate with MSFT.

I'm certainly oversimplifying, but does anyone think there's means and motivation for these guys to ally?

Agreed Bob, interesting to discuss but won't have any significant impact on stock price in the near to mid-term. The stock will move based on a consensus that Apple's top and bottom line growth are solid in spite of the increasing tax rate and the hard yr to yr comparisons coming in the Q4. Rich
