Chuzz, you are not the only one who found shalom's posting the question to you to be odd. I might add in passing that I consider your response to be singularly restrained in light of the sarcastic tone of the original question.

†..Good morning Chuzzlewit, and thank you for your thoughts..†

Allow me if you will, to clear up some confusion. Indeed, this form of communication (SI), lends itself to much misunderstanding.

I intended no ill will at all, not even in my comment; if you have any? Referring to your thoughts on that particular issue. That comment was an after thought, taking into consideration your right not to answer. It is not unusual for one not to have specifics thoughts on the origin of man, or in the alternative, one may not care to express them in an open forum.

It was no oddity at all that I sought your opinion on those issues. You brought the issue up in a post to Sidney. My question to you was inspired by the comments, and questions below.

If I came across as anything but sincerely interested, forgive me. I never meant to cause any strife.

Shalom...><>
BTW Again, thank you for your thoughts. There is no need to respond to this post.

You asked:
So who are these guys? We know that the moved somewhere
east of Eden. And we know that the last descendant discussed prior to the flood was
Lamech, and for some reason retribution increased to 77 fold. Where are they today?

Well, let's see: Lamech had a son named Noah, and the rest is history, no? Didn't God
then lay waste to the entire world. So if we are all descendants of Cain it's not much of a
promise.

But I must admit to great confusion here. Perhaps you can help me. Is Lamech of the
Cain story the same Lamech who was Noah's father. I only ask this because in my Bible
they seem to have two different fathers. One is named Mathuselah (grandfather of
Noah) but a descendant of Seth. The other was Methushael, a descendant of Cain.
Oh well ...

†...Chuzzlewit, I neglected to respond to the following...†

You stated concerning my question as posted to you:
The origins of the nations of peoples (I assume here that you are talking about ethnic
groupings)

That is exactly right Chuzzlewit. I discerned that you possessed some keen insight. Your assumption did not disappoint me.

Sincerely,
Shalom...><>
