Kim,
To push your thoughts as well as Obewon a little bit further.
I think this particular subject thread is missing the point a little bit. The VRD display is not simply going to replace a flat screen display but it is going to be a revolutionary advancement in not only form but also of function. The airport example your VRD will not be used only for looking at the airline flight information but you will be wearing your glasses with a portable display rather than plugging them into a stationary display. It will not only give you flight information but it will display your personal flight information rather than a screen full of arrival and departure times that you are not even interested in viewing. It will allow three dimensional display of information so you can observe where you are physically located in the airport. It may even give you a birds-eye view of the airport showing you a picture of your plane landing. And if you plane is delayed it can entertain you with some augmented reality as you are walking down the terminal. You can site in the lounge and watch a movie until your plane arrived and you ready to get on board.

Rob.
