So true. Public net companies have no incentive whatsoever to run a successful business- little things like profits have no effect on their stock price. And don't be fooled, these companies are NOT being started to make profits. They are being started to make the executives rich. And they are doing that better than anyone could have possibly imagined. Mark my words, this whole thing will end in scandal when the public finally realizes how many public 'net companies have been duping them. The savings and loan fiasco was tame in comparison.
