It's just funny these days that no matter how much you make, if you don't blow the expectations out of the water, the stock suffers. It's not enough that MSFT is making a lot of money, if they don't make it all, we should sell the stock. This is probably where the term 'fuzzy logic' originated from. There is Office 2000 coming down the pipe and Windows 2000 next year. It's this myopic view that drives me nuts.

analyst on cnbc this am (can't remember who) was very positive
on the report. when pressed for a 12 month stock price target
he said "we would expect stock to outpace company earnings growth
which we figure will be at least 25%"

i look upon msft as my long term savings account. prudential
must be joking--really betting the farm on this one. too bad their
isn't an organization that tracks success rates for these analysts.
then the next time an analyst gave an opinion, the newscaster
could say, for example, "these comments from mr kumar who carries
a 42% accuracy rating
