Even though NETA is off nearly $57 from its high, the shareholders will be lucky to get a buck. The lawyers may get several times that. Every $1 in settlement will work out to around 110 to 120 million in costs to NETA (since the float is about that - fully diluted around 150 million). So if the settlement is $3 ($1 to investors, $2 to lawyers), it'll cost NETA 330 to 360 million. And what is $1 on losses of $20 to $57 that the average shareholder has suffered? A larger settlement will wipe out NETA's assets (800 million).

It would be better for shareholders if the lawyers had kept away from this company. But there was simply too much money to be made for them. And at current shareholder expense. As they say "Be careful what you wish for."
