Hey, DSD,
Was this an emergency meeting of the school board in response to the shootings? I know Dallas is meeting also to discuss security. Our high school has a policeman assigned to it. He's a good ol' boy, an ex-football player himself, and I don't think he's armed. I can't imagine him dealing with a situation like yesterday's.

THere are some interesting thoughts at Feelings about the impact of media on our psyches. I don't read papers or watch TV, which avoids a lot of the tsunami effect, but I'm not very knowledgeable as a result, so I don't know what's better. I know I'm happier.

Also very frightening was an interview E. saw with a friend of the gunmen, who said, apparently with admiration, that his friends sure have made a name for themselves.
And the reporter didn't even take it on! A glaring example of the insanity we live -or kids live- or something- and he ignores it.
