Several Reasons: yesterday was a nearly perfect marubozu (closing on the high) with very strong volume and many large 25+K blocks on the ask. I've seen the pattern many times before: MMs and large purchasers will the 2nd day of a large run-up give the timid and the daytraders an opportunity to unload, i.e., give them time to worry and fret. If yesterday was purely takeover speculation, then all bets are off. But because of the volume and the block trades, IMHO, it wasn't. Bruce
