Schwab Platinum sucked today, I'm Platinum. The Scwhab idiots always waive commissions when they can't do a timely trade ... once I told them a customer could care less about their waiver which wouldn't even buy a decent bottle of dinner wine when megabucks were on the line.

James, coinsidently, I received info in the mail today from Schwab about their various account levels: signature service (12 or more trades per yr plus 10K in assets), Gold (24 trades, 25K assets) and Platinum (48 trades, 50K assets).

I've been frustrated with Schwab lately. I did notice the Gold and Platinum accounts had a different phone # to call other than the standard dial up and wait (for 10 minutes at least). I'm going to call the new # they gave me tomorrow during market hours and see if the response time is reduced. What amount of "on-hold" time are you other Schwab users encountering?
