Have you tried using the "previous" and "next" buttons on the page itself, or just clicking on the thread title instead of using your browsers back button. That's what I do because I've run into various problems at different times trying to use the back button on my browser. Also you might like to try downloading "browsemaster". It enables you to read a whole bunch of posts lined up on one page somewhat similar to the way multiple replies contain more than one message.
