Nick - Thanks for the note. I cannot comment on Siebel's client relationships. I am also long, albeit at 35. I also believe that Siebel can continue to deliver the goods for quite a while. 60 - 70 is certainly feasible.

For another company with great management that has exceeded expectations for the past 3+ years, check out Vitesse (VTSS) Semiconductor. VTSS makes digital gallium arsenide chips that go into communications equipment. Apparently digital gallium arsenide is about 4 times faster than silicon. While I do not currently own, they have been a stellar performer for some time. RFS.

Your customer satisfaction issues have come up in the past. See the discussions on this thread in the May to june time frame from 1998.

I think there are clearly customer satisfaction issues at SEBL. i also think there are employee satisfaction issues.

Tom is nothing short of a difficult person to deal with. Employees must work their butts off and it's a very button down culture.

There are unhappy customers, that is not unusual. what makes me uncomfortable are the company's claims of 100% customer satisfaction.

Here are some things to think about:

SAP has faced similar challenges in customer satisfaction. SAP deployments required massive customization and massive changes to the business process. SAP certainly kicked everyone's butt in ERP.

With SEBL, think about their SFA focus. It's one thing to say to a back office employee, change the way you work or else. Now say that to your number one sales rep.

ERM implementations often require a massive reworking of the entire business process. A customer loss would be a surprise, there were rumors of a loss with cisco last year, haven't heard much about it, but I know sebl does not control the cisco account.

That said, while ERM implementations can be difficult, they can have an enormous impact on customer interaction, retention, and loyalty. ERM solutions are a keystone to an e-commerce infrastructure.

There is room for multiple vendors, that is why i own both SEBL and Clarify.
