Good morning everyone... Will now give you my assessment of the IBE through my eyes.... (am awake now) When I caught the 7a shuttle up to NY my main thought was I didn't want to be late for the opening of the telecast... Arrived at the Javits Center approx 9:45 and it is massive. Took me a few minutes to find the International expo as there was a huge pharmaceutical convention going on at the main level. The IBE was at the top level and it really wasn't that big considering other types of conventions I have been to. Not to many people were there yet and the booths were pretty quiet. Most of the companies I had never heard of although Dun and Bradstreet was one of the first booths at the entrance. ProNetLinks booth was at the other end and had the best location as being at the end there was alot of room to move around and was not interfering with any of the other booths around them. I saw Taylor and said hi and she immediately took me around while it was still quiet and introduced me to Phillip Remig, a VP of AON and Davis Goodman, Editor in chief of World Trade Magazine. I also chatted with several members of Glenn's team (of which many of you have seen in PNL's chatroom..they are part of the tech support onsite team...) I also spent some time speaking with Maria Weiskott PNLs Editorial Director who is very charming, personable and is very excited to be on the team. She is in the process of lining up experts in the Global trade Industry exposing them to PNL's webtool. David Walker was very busy but took the time to come over and say hi before tech people whisked him away....Taylor said that David has been working round the clock with Click and Comvision to make sure V3 was ready to go on Fri last week. He missed family events and had little sleep..this is how dedicated he is to what PNL is trying to accomplish. When it comes to David Walker, Taylor's voice and whole demeanor reflects the utmost respect and admiration she holds for him and what he has brought to the PNL family. Then Taylor introduced me to Glenn. What a focused and very professional individual. Because of his extensive TV and production background, he was naturally very excited yet nervous that this presentation would take off without too many glitches. His production staff was on top of things and when the telecast was on live he finally breathed a sigh of relief...Netcast or PNL-TV has so much potential and could be PNL's greatest source of revenue in my opinion. Just imagine all the company's from citibank to the small business who can market their products on PNL's broadcast TV... Glenn will be going on a marketing campaign all around the world. I can't even remember all the countries he mentioned. From Asia to Europe..He did mention that PNL is very serious about getting listed on Nasdaq...he has been barraged by emails from investors on this subject and he wants everyone to know that PNL is very serious about this and are in the process of becoming full reporting and the eventual listing. When this will happen? Who knows...but their attorneys are working on this. Some of the features in the works. They are planning on a regular weekly live broadcast on the PNLK webtool featuring guests from the import/export world and will archive all their telecasts. I believe the ist newsletter will be out in May and will keep users up to date on the features and upgrades to the webtool. I did ask him about the press coverage or lack thereof at the IBE. First of all, I was under the impression this was a big event (like some of the computer conventions I have been to)...so my frame of reference was somewhat distorted. This is not the kind of expo that press covers. It is an important conference for those in the industry and I am sure this expo will be covered in trade magazines. When I mentioned this to Glenn, he said simply that this was not the forum for (IBE) having alot of press around. He said PNL's day will come for that and it will come in a big way. V3 was just launched and the broadcast was the first of its kind to be ventured. Just imagine if something catastrophic had happened, like the server going down, or the broadcast not linking to the internet or too many unforseen glitches happening. If there had been lots of press, negative publicity is far more worse than no press publicity in my opinion. I would like to remind everyone that PNL's efforts right now is to market their product(s) and work out bugs and enhance the webtool and its features. The IBE was a big event to the import/export community. This is an annual event and there were many companies represented. Sure it may have been boring to somewhat like me who have been to huge conventions in LasVegas and WashDC with flashing lights, fancy booths, gift raffles constantly......well you know what I am saying. This convention was more low-key but very professional. It is just a very different type of industry. JPC is a very quiet, reserved and distinguished looking businessman. He speaks quite eloquently with a french accent and has been working on this concept for the past 5 or so years. I was very impressed with his openness and accessibility to anyone who went up to to speak with him. He is very proud of all the people on his team and it shows when you talk to him. The staff all worked hard and talked to everyone while I was there, who came over to the site. Most were given a clipboard to fill out business info about themselves and exchanged business cards. Lots of questions were asked about the webtool services and all that I overheard were walking away saying they couldn't wait to get to their computers to sign up and register. All were given a professionally done handout on the webtool and its features. (at the bottom under the address is the stock symbol that it is publically traded). Many were given a foldout more explicit in nature re the company's market strategy, competitive advantages, membership, internet statistics, how to do business on line and features of the webtool itself. Inside the foldout was a copy of all the press releases and a fine-quality mousepad with the globe on the black background. I listened to one woman who has an industrial diamond company who was very excited about the features...(leave it to me to find a woman in the diamond industry haha!) I am sorry I had to leave before Glenn gave his presentation but I did have a brief conversation with David Walker before I left. He said the amount of people logging in at the same time was phenomenal and there were some temporary glitches in that regard but it was fixed. He is very excited about some future enhancements they are working on... I as an investor feel it was quite a coup when they brought David Walker to the team. Not only is he experienced in import/export but he has a vast knowledge of technical hardware (and software) and internet languaging to keep the PNLK webtool humming along. (Remember PNL's revenue is a byproduct of the success of V3 and its continual upgrades and enhancements). David is a ist-class individual. I spent alot of time talking with an investor (who is not a member of any chatroom) who has quite a bit of his personal money tied up in PNL and is an investment banker and has his own international hedge fund. He stated that what PNL is undertaking is monumentous as the international world is somewhat a close-knit community and PNL is basically taking the middleman out of the process. He had many insightful things to say and what has given this BB company crediblity is the alliances and their marketing track of getting the chambers of commerce from different countries involved. Well that's enough for now. I believe in this company. it is easy for the quick traders to be critical or the nervous who only intended to hold for a short time. Those reading my report may call me a "cheerleader" but what I am is an investor who is looking forward at what the potential is for PNL...whether it succeeds or not remains to be seen..but with the expertise and the combination of skills of the management and the calibar of the alliances they have gotten on board ..I say they have alot going for them and are well ahead in their quest to be a mover and shaker in this global B2B E-commerce industry. Regards to all PNLKers, Terri
