ProNetLink.com Generates Positive Reaction at 1999 International Business Expo
NEW YORK, April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- ProNetLink.com®, (PNL) (OTC Bulletin Board: PNLK - news) pronetlink.com, announced today that it is very pleased with the response that Global Trade Internetwork received during its introduction at the 1999 International Business Expo held in New York City.

The ProNetLink exhibit, the largest at the IBE show, also held the most interest among attendees. ''During the day we were both broadcasting live over the Internet and making demonstrations of the site to the audience,'' said Glenn Zagoren, Chairman of ProNetLink. ''We had a very positive reaction from business executives that participated in the demonstrations of www.pronetlink.com. And if we can impress the New York trade community I feel even more confident that we are on the right track to impress the rest of the world.''

During the demonstrations of the site the ProNetLink booth regularly contained standing room only and the Netcasts drew large crowds to watch the interviews that were produced live from within the exhibit and presented simultaneously on a big screen TV in the demonstration area.

''We had a very good response to the broadcast with over 1000 concurrent video streams running at all times during the live show,'' said Dave Walker, COO of ProNetLink. ''We expect to have an even higher rate of hits once we are able to count the number of viewers that watched the archived version of the show that is available on-demand from our site for the next 90 days. Due to the time differences around the world we expect that even more people will watch the taped version then did the live show.'' To watch the on-demand version of the IBE show please go to pronetlink.com and visit ''netcasting.''

The number of visitors (not to be, confused with hits) to the ProNetLink.com's Global Trade Internetwork has now topped 10,000 since the launch 6 days ago. This included two weekend days.

The live Netcast featured interviews of key trade and business executives including Ron Bernard, President of NFL Enterprises, Kim Marchner, Group Manager Marketing of UPS, Phil Remig, Vice President of Aon Risk Services, John LaVelle, Regional Director, Ex-Im Bank of the United States, James Shanahan, Vice President, HSBC Trade Services, Bob Ryan, CEO, DXI Incorporated, Stewart B. Hauser, President, Hauser Air Corp. and Peter Tirschwell, Editor, The Journal of Commerce.

The ''Netcast'' was produced in conjunction with World Trade Magazine and was hosted by Davis Goodman, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine.

Through ProNetLink's business-to-business e-commerce portal, members can locate manufacturers, buyers or sellers, send immediate requests for quotes, generate the international paperwork required to carry out a transaction, produce inter-business communications, determine trade requirements and rules, find up-to-the-minute exchange rates and news as well as watch trade related broadcasts over the Internet. ProNetLink's worldwide directory now contains over 2.8 million companies from 122 countries.

Registration and the addition of a corporate listing in the ProNetLink Global Trade Internetwork directory are free to all businesses at pronetlink.com.

thankyou terry
your eloquent post pretty much sums up my feelings and long term outlook, seeing this event through your eyes confirms what i had thought, and while i thought the stock would react much more favorably to the "big show", i thing what we are seeing today is selling on the news, and people who vowed not to ride this back to .77 cents, imo we
are going to base awhile, get stronger hands, then a news release that noone is expecting will come out that will drive us to new highs, until that happens, i see us holding the $3 to $4+ area until that happens, but I am really not worried about my investment, it is just a question of when the market realizes its true worth, but i will sell my aol holdings before i sell any more pnlk!
thanks again terry for taking the time to share

great report Terri...appreciated your snapshots of the individuals...Glenn's comments on press coverage...the netcasts and the archiving..AND today's press release was very timely...I certainly don't blame anyone who is fearful of this stock going back to .77, but with your report and the press release...and , hopefully, substantial press releases to come,it should not come to that.

Thanks Terri. Good report, glad you got to see the folks in our engine.

Have been to many conventions, industrial trade shows, etc., and understand how the appearances of things do not give an indication of the value of results produced from them. Eye candy and presence is great, but it is also expensive. All these companies have people there for reasons that go beyond just spending money to send someone to a show. Foundations for growth of businesses are frequently created and laid through such activities. That has little to do with what meets the outside eye. In a more public consumer oriented show this would not be sufficient or appropriate. JMO -Jim

Terri, much thanks for fleshing out the events and atmosphere of the IBE. I am glad to hear you interpreted the atmosphere of the event as professional, which was not how it came across to me from Doctorgreenback.

Hi everyone:

Again, terri, you have done a wonderful job describing the inner work of PNL's management. As some people will say "location, location, and location" in the real estate and retail businesses, "management, management, and management" is the motto for any start-up companies with a revolutionary concept.

Revolutionary??!! Well, let's see...

From an investor (who is an investment banker) terri talked to:

"He stated that what PNL is undertaking is monumentous as the international world is somewhat a close-knit community and PNL is basically taking the middleman out of the process."

Very good point! Nothing like a fresh insight from different investor of different experience...

Perhaps, many are skeptical about the ability of a local businessman trying to do an oversea transaction without going through the conventional import/export middleman. Well, what they forget to see is that many will learn and adapt when they see cost saving in the horizon. Yes, it will take time. And time is what "patience" is all about.

"Close-knit community" cannot remain close for long in the face of a new technological makeover that is changing the face of this world. Again, this "close-knit community", IMHO, is the result of the infrastructure that is based on current technology before the birth of internet. The internet allows many to bypass this close-knit group. Information, the power that bestowed only to a few in the old days, is now available for those who are motivated to seek.

Our internet future, because of its open nature, will be changing the way company competes. Infrastructure will no longer be the main setback. The playing fields are now level for most players, big or small. And the one who will win and come out at the top will be the one with the BEST MARKETING SKILL!!!

IMHO, "Marketing, marketing, and marketing" will be the motto of the 21st century to succeed in the business world.

In summary, whether we like it or not, the Internet Age is changing the face of the earth. This, to me, is a foregone conclusion... no matter how hard you kick or scream, the old ways, like the railroad, will give way to the new way, like airplane.

Giving enough time, I believe PNL's management will succeed what they have set out to do. As terri described so well about the quality of the people in the management team, we may... just maybe... have a winner in our hand.

Yeap, the above is my opinion only.

Remember everyone,
To Each His Own

and

Prosperity to ALL!

Thank you, Terri, for your thoughtful and well-written reports. As for the IBE presentation: I, like many here, was surprised that it was not what I had supposed but glad to hear that it will have acted as a dry run for more ambitious marketing blitzes in the future. This, then, is a welcome by-product.

Your report helps support my confidence in this investment and allows me to remain unmoved by the current price.

Stan.
