Agreed. I'm not anti-guns, I just don't understand them and the need for them in our modern society. I could not shoot anything and kill it, human or animal. If these "Gun People" want them for target practise which is the only thing I can see having them for, IF they don't want to shoot real live people or animals then why don't they use paint ball guns. There is not need for people to own guns. It is lunacy, notwithstanding the NRA and their safety (sic) class. Sure these kids in Littleton were whackos but if they did not have ready access to guns etc: then this may not have happened or could have been nipped in the development stage. By the way where were the parents. Apparently the noise from the garage was so loud that the kid next door heard it. WP

Just because you are willing to turn your tennis racket over doesn't mean the criminals are so willing. If these 2 kids didn't have guns what would they have turned to. A peaceful Utopian lifestyle? Not likely. It probably would have festered and built up even more. Ask Tim McVeigh(sp?) How do you stop someone like that? Ban gas and fertilizer? There will always be ways to kill, especially in a criminal mind. Is it the Parents' fault? No Society's? No Guns? No The individuals? YES Can they be punished? No Can this be prevented? No Why? ??? I don't have any children yet, but what is it going to be like when I do and they are 16.
