But understand that posting here doesn't constitute any endorsement of GNET stock on the part of the reporters who do post here.

Ted,

I guess for the sake of anyone who is new to SI, I can understand why you would feel it necessary to offer that caveat. However, the seasoned memberships would intuitively understand that I was not seeking an endorsement of GNET simply because of SI, because SI and its quality community of investors existed long before GNET make the sensible decision to acquire it.

I was merely reflecting upon the preference of investment "notables" and business reporters to have a presence here. That presence reflects the reality that the cyber investing communities like SI are giving the analysts on the street a strong run for their money and democratizing the securities markets.

If GNET were to encounter hard times and Russell appeared on our air, he would get the same grilling as anyone else.. and I am sure he knows and respects that.

As he would justifiably deserve. And the SI community would expect no less than objective reporting on the issue.

The question I have for CNBC is just HOW the program managers determine which companies receive coverage and which do not. Of course, this is a question that can be asked of news organizations in their identification and coverage of ANY event, business or otherwise, that are determined "newsworthy".

I certainly hope that you won't allow your welcome presence here on SI to cause you to avoid covering the GNET story in order to be prevent any false sense of a conflict of interest (which I certainly don't feel you have).

All I think GNET shareholders ask is a fair shake. GNET will make its presence known with or without CNBC. It would just be nice not having any reason to criticize what many perceive as the disparity of coverage in the internet sector. And Paul Allen pumping $300 million into GNET is cause to pay attention to the company's future in and of itself.

Keep up the good work!!

Regards,

Ron

Howdy Ted, holding shares in some internet stocks but am a non-subscriber to cable channels so Consider The Source...IMHO the relatively (from interested investors point of view) sparse media attention paid to the Companies of the emerging, fast lane, high-flying, esoteric, volatile and unpredictable generational masterwork of the Internet Sector is fine with me. It sounds like the proper coverage for the investing majority watching the show because of the relatively small % of overall investing dollars in the sector. Also it's responsible coverage not calling undue attention to Nets because of the high risk/reward ratio inherent in this fast-moving and many-faceted Introductory Product Cycle Internet Sector with It's complex and as quickly invented as obsoleted Subsectors of technology, portals, service providers, content, bandwidth, functionality, information, retailing, presentation, transmission, operating system, data storage, equipment, tv set-top box via satellite and cable, communication, etc. The Way It Stands Now (our new sector being put in its place as such by the business media) well suits my own personal interest as an investor the way I see it because... "Once The Buffalo Stampede Tramples Our Fertile Grazing Grounds; The Party As We Know It Will Be Over".
Glad you post here Ted, and Thanks for a great show, heard so many positive comments about it, looking forward to watching it soon.

Ted, A snow-bound BLUE here. I respect that you would grill Russell if he had it coming. That is good reporting and what is fair. That is why I don't mute you, I know you will report the news and go after the truth. I think what many resent is that some people allow bias to add a tone to an interview.
I know this sounds vague so here is a MADE UP, clear as can be example. Interviewer no. 1: BLUE is it true that you remind people each month to perform self breast exams or to ask a loved one if they have? Interviewer no 2: Do you seek to bring attention to your web site by talking about breast cancer? You are going to get two different answers and interviews with those questions.
Now, to my question. I've been, without cable all day (still am). I'm Jonesing bad, no Maria for over twenty four hours! I got the bad news about GNET stock today from a computer (how cold). If I have to get bad news I want it from Maria. Isn't she wonderful?
Anyway, the cable is out, the phone lines have been off and on and the power has cut off so many times that I've been without a puter for most of the day. I've been hearing my wife LHFAO from the other end of the house as each time the ol' puter does a swannie I cuss and she laughs.
I am about 100% clueless as to what happened to GENT stock today. It was up 17 and I went out to shovel some *5$#@ snow. I came back in and GNET was getting BILLY JACKED. Then the power goes out so I can't even find out why GNET was getting BILLY JACKED. What happened?
Ted, I know chances are you can't say but perhaps a Techrider can. Did I miss some news today or did Mark do a number on Russell?
Yer pal, BLUE

Humbly report, Ted, I don't have cable, so I don't usually watch CNBC. However, this morning I went over to a friend's house to see the Russell C. Horowitz interview.

Let me put it this way - from what I saw, I'm not about to rush out and get cable, and if I do, CNBC will be the last channel I'll turn on.

I humbly believe you get my humble drift.

Good day, Sir.

Cheers,

Svejk
