I am not a member of the N.R.A. But why should they postpone?

For the same reason the sports teams cancelled...out of reverence for the victims and their families and friends...basically saying things are not "business as usual" right now. NRA's move is selfish and indefensible, unless one is a NRA sympathizer/member/both.

steve,

One of the students I heard being interview last night was a star ball player said that he wished he had had his rifle, because he might have saved some students. He said he was a hunter and knew how to handle a firearm. I know that he was speaking out of sorrow and grief and obviously no one wants to see students arming themselves, but WHAT IF, there had been a school official or teacher, properly trained and licensed with access to a gun.....Could some of those students been saved?
