Perhaps the late price action was the capitulation of the shorts.

Thanks. But if you want the stock to go over 200 or 250, shorts cannot capitulate yet. Capitulation of the shorts is a bad sign for momentum?

I doubt there are many shorts left at this point. I remain short as part of a hedged portfolio which is more than covering my losses on Amazon. I expect it will run up further into earnings, then we'll see if the market takes another look at the valuation issue. Enjoy the party, it is certainly easy money, for now, for the longs.
