The company's movements seems slow, slow, but in the right direction. And the balance of the news release (quoted in part below) suggests they have *many* new products about to come out.

If I was a richer or bolder fellow, I'd buy a lot more of this stock.

But of course, they only make real things. Nothing so "sexy" as internet faery dust which is what seems to stimulate the rest of the stock world....

NEWARK, Calif., April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Socket Communications, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SCKT, SCKTW; PCX: SOK) today reported revenue for the quarter ended March 31, 1999 of $1,460,607, an increase of 24 percent compared to revenue of $1,175,670 for the same period a year ago.

The net loss applicable to common stockholders for the quarter was $456,837 ($0.06 per share) compared to a net loss applicable to common stockholders of $679,408 ($0.10 per share) for the first quarter of 1998.

I believe that this might be the first evidence of CE-based products that will generate larger sales volumes due to its multimedia capacity. I guess this will be the start of CE catching up on Palm!
