Darrell- What I was criticizing in your post was the idea that the weakening of national boundaries is necessarily bad. It depends how its done. If it's done through the efforts of multnational corporations and the free flow of capital, that's fine with me. However, we are both suspicious of some international political structure eroding the power of the nation state. Larry P.S. I'm unaware of the Jackson quote you cited. Do you know where I could find it?? Anyway, we agree with the sentiment.
