"IT IS THE NUMBER OF RIGS STUPID"... New war cry from here on out! The fact that no time in many years has the rig count ever been this low and a rising commodity price is the formula for huge gains in this sector! Rigs = Output...Lower amount of rigs lower total output...lower supply...increased price. Where does the balancing act hit..? I say the psychological top at this point is here and now at 18...But when compliance is confirmed strongly we WILL SEE 25/Barrel; most likely by year end.....Then Slider, it will be time to roll out the Limo and have an Oilpatch party that will last to the wee hours of the morn.
OK enough of Arctic's Ice Crystal Ball Calls
Now for some good recon...

TCMS: some folks seem to want to keep the lid on this stock. Every time the stock climbs ever so slightly the shorts start applying downward pressure.

TMAR; Took some profits off the table... had it-- sold it-- and cried after it left!... Ah well; see it under 8 again on retracement.

KEG; Razorbak will toast me alive after running the Altman formula on this one!....HUGE DEBT...YEP....No one sees the home run play here do they?? OK by me, accumulating here....Keg has a record of integrating many small companies with maximum effectiveness except management didn't expect the huge drop in demand. Hmmm what does KEG have up its sleeve now that a fast recovering sector approaches...Yep took a 1.65 mil hit from a company who owed them money...Wonder if they are going to do a barter exchange in kind.....Could go down the proverbial tubes but more likely to stage a turn around. Only needs to hold on just 3 more months and BAM.

Couldn't agree more with you Slider on PGEI; double no brainer! Gee low volume and one way to go...UP

RRC: 1 Trillion is a big number huh? Guess what they have in the ground!!!! Better get some Beano...

Artics House Of Crystal Balls

Can't see.....The Ball is all BLACK!!!!!!

The future is as black as oil and yet the outside is covered in GREENBACKS!!!

Slider and all, I hear alot about Denbury Resources here in Dallas. (they even sponsor some of the local PBS programs). They have been in the ditch lately and I wonder if they may be a good NG play if E&P picks up. Any thoughts?

Slider:

I agree that we are due for a significant correction. But not necessarily because of the best OSX rally in 30 years. Remember that this rally was preceeded by perhaps the worst drop ever on a relative performance basis. Also OSX relative valuation versus the overall market probably was at a record low when this big rally began.
