Douglas, Guns ARE responsible for what happened. Could they have killed so many kids with fists or knives? Britain imposed a total handgun ban after they had a similar incident. Of course a country that can't even implement the metric system isn't going to implement anything in spite of these killings. We are SO dumb. We bemoan teenage pregnancy when 80 per cent of TV programs show people sleeping with one another at the drop of a hat. We bemoan all the shootings when guns can be purchased at the local department store or obtained by breaking into just about any home. Once in a while someone defends themselves with a gun but mostly if you have a gun you will either not be able to access it when needed or you are more likely to be shot because the attacker's life is threatened and he will defend himself by trying to shoot first. It's disgusting that Nato is are now resorting to attacks on TV stations and residences. Next will probably be sewerage pumping stations and water purifying buildings which they also bombed in Iraq. Nato is becoming desperate and vindictive. Funny Clinton should say young people should resolve their differences with "words and not weapons"! Meredith

NATO belongs in Kosovo. I believe this in every fiber of my being. The Europeans are much to self involved and timid to take on SM by themselves. Clinton is showing the American children a very good lessons on; good samaritanism, do not give in to tyrants, sticking to your guns (no pun intended). Kosovo has nothing to do with Americans blasting eachother apart and any comparison is a perversion of logic. Psychos having easy access to wargrade ammunitions is the reality here and anyone that denies this might as well be pulling the trigger themselves. On the contrary: guns are to blame for Denver just as they are to blame for 80% of the violent crimes in the United States. If they are effectively controlled half of the cops would be out of a job. Easy access to firearms form the basis of reality on which a violent fantasy will be acted out to a bloody and remorseful end. The amendment of the United States Constitution guaranteeing arms for all citizens was the only mechanism at the time that the founding fathers had to keep the government honest. Drive-by shootings, bank holdups and kids blasting kids were not in the equation at the time.
