Ahmad,

Not sure what you mean by "cellular" technology, but WCOM obviously believes wireless is ready for prime time by buying up CAI Wireless for $408MM. My guess is WCOM will try to buy up all the MMDS licenses and will outspend Sprint to do so. These MMDS wireless cable licenses already carry data and video, and has been rolled out commercially two-way in certain areas by smaller providers. Wireless cable is limited by line-of-sight issues, but you can still get 80% coverage if you put up a few more transmittors. Bernie is not stupid; you don't spend half a billion dollars unless your engineers are 100% convinced "wireless cable" will do the trick. So I'm not persuaded WCOM will allow T to get access to residential while focusing on businesses. With MMDS, he has a pipeline to both...and will spend a helluva lot less than T.
