Curtis,

Since I believe you only have been following Vivus since the March female SD patent announcement I suggest you specifically review Vivus' January 28th conference call. In this prior conference call CEO Leland Wilson said that concerning Q1 and Q2 earnings that it would be a "challenge" for Vivus to show any profit. So here we are one quarter later with a .12 cents profit.

On Wed's cc again Wilson sang the same tune as he did on Januarty 28th. He has learned that it is best to keep a conservative perspective looking forward in the nearer term.

If you would like I will be willing to make a personal wager with you that in Q2 1999 Vivus will show a profit of AT LEAST 5 cents.

Put your money where your mouth is and tell me how much you are willing to put on the table because I know whatever it is it will be easier than taking candy from a baby.

Wilson has to be conservative. If he starts sounding too optimistic and Vivus disappoints then the share holders who have no business in this market want to sue Vivus because the stock price goes down. After the price drop in December of 1997 Vivus has been almost paranoid about releasing optimistic news.

Curtis,

If you had been in this stock as long as us you would realize that Vivus is poised to make a dramatic recover based totally on all the positive factors converging at once.

We folks here are just slightly ahead of the buying curve. I expect great things to happen within the next year.
