At the request of fellow AIMer from Florida, John D., I've changed the background of the AIM pages. He said he had a heck of a time reading some of the material because the blue background made the text harder to see. Well, after fiddling around, I found something that seems to work.

Please don't think you've gone to the wrong place when you first see it! Hope you all like it.

Hi Tom

Aim has been good to us in both IRA accounts. I recently gave mine to a manager who we are affiliated with at work. Very aggressive, concentrated program. Very successful trader of large cap stocks on a short term basis.

We have been using Aim for over a year and am pleased as it took the "emotion" out of this. So far just use it form mutual funds and have been gradually shifting towards more aggressive funds, although I am getting a little nervous at these levels and will probably adjust my sales level in Newport to intentionally generate more transactions. Currently use 10% and will probably go down to 5% to generate additional sales this week and maybe for one or two more weeks if the market continues to soar. Somewhere along the line the bubble is going to burst and I want to take some profits and have a little more cash available.

This thread has been really helpful. I am more than glad to answer general tax questions except for maybe during March and April. Our office are big supporters of the Roth IRA. You just have to live long enough to beat the system.

Regards,

Gary

Tom,
Did you ever hear of a surgeon doing operations on himself/herself? This is why gary lets someone else manage his fund. Of course, I don't know many surgeons who operate on their wives! Yea, what gives, Gary?
