Thanks Wolff. You made it easy to get off letters to both California Senators and my Congresswoman. Hope it helps, along with the small donation I made. It doesn't seem like much, but I guess it all adds up. From the sounds of things, it sounds like the Serbs are starting to weaken. Hopefully this whole mess will be over quickly...

RE: Political Asylum or Emergency Visa…

To The Honorable Senator Spencer Abraham ,

Our Organisation, Mother Teresa Humanitarian Organisation, has identified many families that have been unable to leave the camps outside Scopje, making it difficult for refugees who need to come to the refugee relief camps from entering and forcing some 5-7,000 refugees to live in the forests and mountains just South of the Kosovo border. We have been monitoring the activities of Mr. Anthony Elgindy and since he has been denied any help from the United States Embassy here and since Congressman Wexler request for aid has fallen on deaf ears we are sending this letter in an attempt to appeal to your office.

Mr. Elgindy's trip here, seems simple enough but unfortunately he has been unable to receive the necessary permission and or visas to bring some of these displaced families or children out of Macedonia. After countless interviews with the refugees it is clear that they are having a hard time trusting the Americans and the motives for helping any refugees. These people, despite their reluctance to accept aid from the United States, want to leave the camps so badly since the conditions are below that of the worst prisons in the United States according to Mr. Elgindy. There are dozens of families and or tents that want to come back to the United States with Mr. Elgindy. Mr. Elgindy guarantees their safety, travel expenses and housing while in the United States for as long as this war continues. He is a private United States citizen who has traveled here to share the burden of moving these people out of these outdoor mud camps to the safety within the United States. He will direct his company, Pacific Equity Investigations, to actively search for missing family member here and elsewhere. Since France, Belgium, Sweden, Canada, the Netherlands, Albania, Macedonia, and many other countries all over the world are offering a destination for these displaced people, Mr. Elgindy is offering a additional destination, his home. He has also agreed to send these people back to Kosovo or to their located family members who may turn up after weeks or months. These people want to return to Kosovo once they can be convinced that they will not be attacked. He is not asking for any assistance or donations or any help from any U.S. taxpayer. He has already given his time and money and used any influence he may have on Wall Street to raise money for our humanitarian organization and others in the United States (see attached letter from Congressman Wexler). We have identified members in two different tents that we would like to ask for permission that they be allowed into the Untied States at Mr. Elgindy's expense.

The first group (Tent # unknown, Camp #2, Stenkovec, just south of the Kosovo border with Macedonia)

CHILDREN'S NAMES

1. Aferdita Imeri 2. Miradie Imeri 3. Shukrie Imeri
Age 17 female Age 16 female Age 15 female

4. Abdurrahim Imeri 5. Feim Imeri 6. Ylber Imeri

7. Bujar Imeri 8. Selatin Imeri 9. Arben Imeri
Age 10, boy Age 8 , boy Age 6 , boy

10. Mustaf Imeri
Age 4, boy

All of these children are the children of three brothers. Their three fathers and three mothers are missing and presumed to be dead or in Kosovo. The children's Grandmother, Mrs. Hamide Imeri was born in 1908, age 91. She cannot move. She needs medical care. Her daughter, the sister of the three missing fathers, Mrs. Habibe Potera, age 56, is caring for this entire group. Her husband, Shaqir Potera, age 66, is too frail to aid in their care. They have a son who is also with them, Besnik Potera, age 22, and he is extremely malnourished.

The second group is located in tent 78 C, Camp #2, Stankovec has an equally tragic situation

CHILDREN'S NAMES:

1. Florije Krasniqi 2. Neriman Krasniqi 3. Hamdi Krasniqi

4. Mirijeta Krasniqi 5. Besim Krasniqi 6. Blerim Krasniqi
Age 9, girl Age 12, boy Age 11 , boy

7. Beqim Krasniqi
Age 8, Boy

We were told initially that four of these children lost both parents to Serb police. They now claim that they are all cousins so as to avoid being split up. Mrs. Emine Krasniqi, age 43, left an older daughter behind in Kosovo and when they were fleeing they picked up a 9 year old, that they now identify as Merijeta Krasniqi, who was running away and alone. This group that has decided to become a family, is comprised of one very ill male, age 30, Imer Krasniqi who suffers from extreme abdominal pain and malnutrition. The two older women Azize Kraniqi, female, age 47 and previously mentioned Emine Krasniqi, age 42 are caring for four children who have lost both parents. We, the Mother Teresa Humanitarian Organization certify and attest that this "family" will be better off if given access to Mr. Elgindy's aid and assistance. Additionally, two of the children claim that they have family abroad but are unable to locate them. With Mr. Elgindy's assistance they will be able to do that. We humbly request and plead for your permission and assistance in allowing Mr. Elgindy do lighten the load of the various organizations and agencies here. Mr Elgindy will finance these placements and assistance to these people completely on his own, with no assistance from our organisation or any other.

Very truly yours and with respect,

Avdula Memetaj
President
