I hope I am not misreading you say "cultural" progress..
I once spent almost two months in Fiji.. talk about rules and regulations for a small country..they had US look like barbarians..
I think you have it backwards..
Yes..I stick to it about quality of life..
yes..everybody likes to put the finger at cronyism on the other side..
I don't like to..since I think the financial types of the world just put dollars into a country to take more out and destroy...
ie all the overbuilding in the east..if they threw all that money at Korea etc to build build build..I am certain the Koreans thought that if "those people of the world" threw that much money at them..then they would know if it was prudent to build build build because of the demand demand demand..they might not have realized that it wasn't investment money but just speculation on market going up with liquidity and then bringing the market down by removing the liquididity and thus having no risk in increasing their money to provide another situation for liquidity..making money ..pulling it out and screw the citizens
and getting bailed out by governments..
A friend of mine told me about champion paper up in British columbia.
He said he was poisoned a couple of weeks ago..he thinks it is from
the gas fumes..He said where he lives has the highest insidence of cancer..he said the company has a great pension plan but few are alive to collect it..I think Warren buffett owns 17 percent or did..
I wish some investigative reporting would take place to see what they could find out..You don't even have to go to Fiji to see how financial
types can possibly destroy quality of life..
