For anyone with an interest here is the URL of the original article which generated the response. This topic is of interest to investors in biotechs because until the Internet is used to release "scientific" papers to specific groups of professionals, investors will be kept in the dark for months while companies wait for actual meetings of some particular medical group.

< Let's see, how does this work? vote by Internet to permit XOMA to allow voting by other than paper ballots?

From the XOMA proxy, link on XOMA site.

PROPOSAL 2--AMENDMENT TO BYE-LAWS

"Bermuda law does not expressly authorize the transmission of proxies
directly to the Company by means other than in writing on paper. Consequently,
it is recommended that the Company's Bye-Laws be amended to add the following
sentence to Section 11 of Article II thereof:

"Each shareholder may appoint a proxy to vote at any meeting (i) by a
written instrument subscribed by such shareholder in such form as the Board
may accept, or (ii) if provided in the written notice for such meeting, by
telephonic, electronic or other means of transmission (including, without
limitation, Internet voting)."

The Board of Directors recommends a vote "FOR" this amendment to the
Company's Bye-Laws.">

Or is it just another plot? If you vote against management by internet, as I am sure many will do, will these votes count? Who originally suggested we save XOMA a stamp? Indeed was your stance on Bermuda, just a clever, management ploy to get a majority of voters to side with management? This is something, you yourself hint might have happened in your previous post.

All of the above, and all of the below provide more than adequate reasons to be sure to vote against management on each and every proposal.
