Earlie,

I know your views about valuation of DELL equity. While I think that it makes little sense to judge a manufacturing powerhouse whose major strength is a super-successful implementation of SCM systems (I speak as an ex-ERP designer and engineer here) by the book value, as process implementations do not properly show up there, I will let that line of discussion die an uneventful death as my main query was a different one.

My request, in particular, was to elucidate (only if you can spare the time and effort) on why you hold negative views about DELL's business prospects (as distinct from the equity price) even in light of recent shakeups in the industry and with additional information of CPQ, IBM and GTW's earnings and future strategies and business outlooks.

Would appreciate a response very much.

-BGR.

Earlie,

When do you think the truth on AMAT's business prospects will start getting reflected in it's stock price? That one is very resilient.
