I have been following this stock basically since the IPO. In my opinion, BRCM is right where CUBE was three years ago. This stock just fell out of favor. You're just too emotional about it. CUBE's technology IS real and in the lead. Quite a few people just came to the dance before the fat sounding band arrived. The VCD chip for China was just the warmup band - with a long intermission. I also thought the VCD was the main act and I lost quit a bit of money. But I never stopped following this company.

STB's are a sweet band and they can charge a big ticket (AT&T's bid for MediaOne is a very dear ticket).

In all seriousness - CUBE is in the driver's seat for DVB. There is not one facet in CUBE's product line that is weak. All the analyst's earnings projections for 99 and 00 are light. Way light and they know it. These investment houses are getting their best clients in before they upgrade in earnest.

Also - in my opinion - CUBE suffered from a dearth of coverage simply because they had no need to do secondary equity or debt offerings. Shocking as it might seem, analysts cover only the companies that can offer future business. Shocking.

Fundamentally, CUBE's balance sheet is sterling - period.

I'm not really sure. What do you think?
