I have been semi-avoiding all the stuff about the murders in Littleton, until the investigations are done - sensationalism annoys me. However, I was surfing a while ago, looking for information on local weather and happened upon a story about one of the murderers, an interview with some children who were his friends in his old home town. They said he was a very friendly, loving boy, and that something bad must have happened after he moved, because the buy they knew could never have done such a thing. They said if only he hadn't moved, this wouldn't have happened. This really saddened me.

I believe that, when all is learned, those two boys that committed the murders will be revealed as having been on the receiving end of a lot of abuse, probably from the jocks that they targeted. Maybe it's not that, maybe it's some stupid alienation thing, like the girl that shot up her school because she "didn't like Mondays."

<<Most parents don't recognize it in their kids or - because it is so difficult to accept the possibility - rationalize it to a large degree. It is difficult to accept that anyone could commit such heinous acts with absolutely no apparent repugnance or remorse for their own actions. >>

Jeff, I can almost understand that. I never was a parent but my parents always overlooked my , no they didn't overlook but rationalized as I was lazy, my shortcomings.
