"I paid $49.95 for my DSL connection...monthly rate...Can cable beat that rate?"

Sure. I pay about $10 less than that per month for @Home (and I get faster speeds than DSL).

I use a cable modem from Time Warner. My monthly rate is $39.95 and I am 100% satisfied. It is so fast I'm able to download 22+mb files such as Netscape 4.5 in about 2 or 3 minutes. Sometimes it is slower but it depends on the site I go to. In general I recommend cable modems.

PS AOL os 9.95 per month extra if you have your own ISP.

Yes -- ATHM is $40, no busy signal, and the dowloaded movies/videos/games can go directly to your TV ---- can DSL ever beat that?

Dont think so - wake up
