Chris,

I'm an air traffic controller at STL. I also worked in Olathe, KS at the ARTCC for five years. MITRE helped develop a ghosting program called CRDA to help land up to 25% more aircraft under certain adverse weather conditions at our airport. I believe we were the test facility. I felt the program had potential with enroute spacing, among other things. Not sure if MITRE is still working on that or not. STL doesn't have enough concrete to meet the demand in bad weather but CRDA helps. Our parallel runways are just too close together.
