ATHM Customer Service

Gang- A couple of things have really bothered me lately about @Home. During the last few weeks, I have made seven or more calls to @Home Investor Relations. The calls were made to see if I could get some information such as the shareholders' meeting date. If you have phoned them, what I am about to say will not be a surprise.

When you dial either their 888 OR toll number, you are prompted to select a certain number if you want to speak with a rep. Invariably, you are NEVER able to speak with one. They are either speaking with other shareholders or attending workshops on how to improve their customer relations. I doubt the latter is true. Several times I have been routed to an investor rep's voice mail. The first time this happened, I thought it was no big deal. I decided to leave a message and believed they would return my call. That first time, however, I received a message that said the mailboxes were full and I could not leave a message. I have actually gone through that scenario more than once. ALL OTHER TIMES SAVE ONE, I was able to leave a message. No one has ever gotten back to me though. The company also prompts you to leave contact information if you want them to send you @Home news updates. I have never received a thing. Only ONE time did I ever get through to anyone. Her name was Christine Yap. This was prior to the earning's report, and she was unable to give out any information. She told me that the shareholders' meeting date would be announced at earnings. That was a lie. We still haven't heard. As of Friday P.M., the recording said a date STILL has not been set. Aren't we about in the month of May for God's sake????? What does that say about organization?

Bottom line is their customer relations stinks worse than my neighbor's dog who constantly passes gas. And that stench is bad enough to take that dog to the back 40 (with a rifle and one bullet). Oh well, that's another topic. This just bothers me! It is no way to treat a shareholder! I don't care how busy they are. If they are that busy, hire some more reps for goodness sake!

This is off topic, but oh well. When I was 15, I worked in a service station. When a car pulled into the station, several guys ran to your vehicle. We were not allowed to walk. One person greeting the customer, one was placing the pump nozzle in the tank, one was checking under the hood, and another was washing the windshield. We had a car wash also, and we towel dried every car that went through it. Now that was service! Our customers were impressed, and that helped us to sell the most gasoline of all Sunoco stations. People loved our attention to details and their needs!

Am I sounding old or what? My point is, what gives here? I have never seen such lack of service in my whole life. It WORRIES me! If they can't pay attention to their shareholders, what must they be doing to their subscribers?

It is Sunday night...I am tired...the glorious weekend is over...and I am a little blue. I don't mean to rag, but I wanted to bring this to your attention and see what you think. Do I, and do you, want to invest in a company that conducts business like this? Does all this matter? Am I making a mountain out of a mole hill? I would greatly appreciate your comments.

BTW, while in church today I should have thanked God for all the wonderful posters on this thread. The knowledge and wealth of information you share with me is greatly appreciated. I know it takes time to locate the links, and I want you to know that I am deeply indebted to ALL of you. Thanks so much and have a great week.
