Carlo, newspaper people do not have the proper authority to investigate SI posters. Even the SEC would need a subpoena in order to get personal information about posters.

The problem of paid stock touts and people hired to bash a stock is massive and the SEC is working hard at eliminating them. There is only so much manpower the SEC has and the offenders are many.

Also SI cannot do anything outside of enforcing their terms of use. They do not have the authority to take action against paid promoters/bashers. It would be very hard for them to figure out exactly who is doing that and who is just a regular poster.
