I had to jump in here as well.

Here's some food for thought for everyone,
Let's Imagine - It's time to choose a world leader, a next door neighbor, or someone to give 'a license to reproduce' to.

Here's the scoop on three leading candidates.

Candidate A:
+ Associates with ward healers and consults with astrologists.
+ He's had two mistresses.
+ He chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B:
+ Was kicked out of office twice.
+ Sleeps until noon.
+ Used opium in college.
+ Drinks a quart of brandy every evening.

Candidate C:
+ Is a decorated war hero.
+ He's a vegetarian
+ Doesn't smoke,
+ Drinks an occasional beer
+ Hasn't had any illicit affairs.

Which of these candidates is your choice? You don't really need any more information, do you?

Scroll down.

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt
Candidate B is Winston Churchill
Candidate C is Adolph Hitler

While it might make us feel better to look for simplistic solutions to our troubles, the fact remains, if it were that simple, we wouldn't have these problems to begin with. I think it is a complex mix of circumstances which causes an autrocity like the shootings in Colorado, or, for that matter, Kosovo. Intolerance breeds hatred which breeds violence. Many outstanding people have risen above terrible home environments. We all applaude when this happens. Why is not the opposite possible? Why do we assume the worst? I don't know the parents of those two boys in Colorado, but my heart goes out to them as well as to the other victims of this terrible crime.

I dunno..

Very sad whats happening with children these days.. I dont get it..

Unless I heard wrong, was it true that one of the kid/killers had pictures of hitler hung all over his bedroom walls? My mother kicked my ass when I tried to hang a picture of 'charlies angles' on the wall, but hitler???

Speaking of anthony at pacific investigations, as much as I hate that guy I must admitt he has one helluva a heart.. Interesting reading his posts from albania

oh yeah.. stocks.. TDFX.. I hope they pull this back a bit more. This stocks float exploded over the last year, combined with a very competitive market place but they are STILL the leader in 3d graphics for pcs. If this company starts another uptrend in revenue, they will easily be a 1/2 billion a year monster with a nice fat wad of cash they are sitting on as well. They are going to make a TON off the new 'vodoo III' card that just hit shelves.. This is a fun stock to play because the thread here on s/i is very VERY informative.

My timing was off on this company when I yelled about it back in January, but what the chart shows clearly is that money has been watching and waiting for the new product, ad campaign, and realization of the large acquisition of stb. This probably isnt going to run to 30 next week but its a safe place to be... Im still waiting for a few points cheaper but technically I dont think its going to go much lower..
