John : Increasingly, as I see it, Russia has been completely sidelined and NATO is doing as it pleases.

(1) By using NATO, instead of the UN, as the basis for armed intervention in Serbia, the West has shown it prefers to act illegally rather that run the risk of a Russian "no" vote in the Security Council. Although this is a direct insult to Russia, and to the UN, Russia has said, and done, nothing about it
(2) Russia is completely indebted to the West (IMF) financially
(3) Yeltsin is totally impotent and appears to more of a US stooge than Tony Blair. He has already said that Russia will not intervene militarily, even if Russian tankers are illegally boarded.
(4) Russia has attempted to negotiate some kind of settlement between Milosevic and NATO. This has been completely disregarded by NATO.

More and more, NATO, under the leadership of the US, is taking control of the hegemony of power in Europe.

I guess this must be what the New World Order is all about --- government by the Mafia! Or, should I call them the "Paper Aristocracy" --- the ones that print the money?!
