isn't Microsoft involved with Comcast in some way? They might be the partner with deep pockets.

if a bidding war starts, maybe it's best to get some UMG.

This part is what I am not sure about. Microsoft has been mentioned as a distinct possibility and this fits in with Bill's ambition re. the role he wishes to play in American life.

The computer software and hardware are just tools; Bill wants to tread softly into our dreams. :-)
