Would you care to share with us any changes you have witnessed or been amazed at/impressed with over these years??

Toni:

Four years? Time flies... : >

One of the big changes is the improvement of Browser performance... Faster internet connections and greater content make the internet easier to access for an educational and entertaining experience... The explosion of investing content has been one of the most significant developments... Silicon Investor broke new ground from the old Bulletin Board downloads and Mail Readers... It helped introduce much faster communications among investors in an organized structure... The stock threads were meeting places to discuss specific stocks or
general themes... If you couldn't find the thread that suited your needs you could start your own... This was revolutionary... Even more important was the openmindedness of Brad et al to encourage suggestions from SI subscribers to make Silicon Investor a true representation of the needs of its subscribers...

I've seen people come and go... I've seen the hype, the fights, and the cool heads... Through it all is a community of investors looking to become more knowledgeable so they can increase their wealth... There are some names that are respected based on their consistent
performance... There are others that are known for their positive or negative spin on things... And there are others that seem only interested in creating controversy from the safety of their living rooms... The Bookmark feature allows us to follow those threads and people that we feel will benefit us the most...

Perhaps the most controversial element of this current rapid communication is the dissemination of information, good and bad, in the pursuit of daytrading profits... Only history will tell if this brings about a generation of gamblers or more knowledgeable investors... SI has come a long way and has created a new way of communicating and developing relationships and access to information not previously available... Each of us has the responsibility of
utilizing this information in a responsible manner...
