NTF2, I guess you really didn't get it with your latest response to Tunica! What he is trying to say is that the growth rate of first time INET users is higher among retired folks versus the younger age groups as they don't need the faster ADSL or cable speed modems. The 10% a week gains AOL makes is close to the average the stock has moved over the last couple of years as it appreciated approximately 400% in 1998 alone. Words of wisdom: AOL has it's peaks and valleys just like any other stock. For you to successfully short AOL you will have to be a good stock timer as the overall trend is up. Good luck with your short and as an AOL long thank you for helping speed up my gains by covering! LOL

here is a strategy that i am considering doing ,,
i am a holder of call options that i think will run up on earnings and i will sell, but i am also considering buying puts on monday to protect me either way it goes ,,so my strategy is to sell my calls right after earnings and then i believe it will trade down after earnings and then i can sell my puts and either way i'm protected because if it doesn't have a blowout # i am still long,,,i am going to look at put options right now,

NTF2,I am saying that a lot of people over 70 ( my aunt is an example ) tell me: " all this internet stuff is not for me ". " I am OK as I am. Why do I need that? I am not intersted " . When I told her however that we might be able to communicate better ( e-mail, shipping of video/pictures overseas where she lives ) then she said " I'll consider it as long as it is not too complicated; I guess if it's just through the phone it will be allright ".

I am saying that when you are 70, often your interests are more limited and focused, often primarily to your family's needs.
Also there is a certain slowing of mental faculties that occurs in some, sooner than in others.

Instant downloading of web pages at 500+kb/sec is not a priority for them especially if you have to drill holes though her favorite room and poke a hole though her precious wall paper and patch it some how so the black cable will not show ; move/empty the cabinet with her precious china so we can ran cable under the carpet. They will tell you no thank you
