I would like to chime in w.r.t. the previous post. First of all, I endorse it's rational tone (a breath of fresh air on the internet threads). Secondly, I, too, am an individual investor with a long term position in this stock (my first purchase was April of 1997). I, too, have recently filed to unrestrict a portion of my 144 stock. My reason for unrestricting is for no reason other than freeing up some cash for other investments. It has been a long, frustrating wait but as someone once said, "nothing good comes easy". The business plan that Viking is undertaking is complex and monumental in nature. No one else that I am aware of has built the infrastructure and created all the relationships that these guys have to date. 95% of individuals and institutions have not yet grasped the idea of what is going on here. Yes, Viking has an image and credibility problem. Wall street does not embrace companies whose business plans they do not understand. By the way, management is well aware of this and is working to gain credibility. The stock is at .53 for one of two reasons (IMHO, of course): 1) There is a major flaw in the business plan: there is no perceived need for Viking's offerings or there is no confidence in the management of the company. The money people know it and consequently Viking will never secure major financing and thus never get the plan off the ground and be a penny stock forever. 2) This company is a "diamond in the rough", one of the very few to yet be discovered in the bulletin board world that has: no major debt, a fully developed infrastructure, solid partnerships with high profile companies (IXNET, TIS) and is pursuing an untapped, highly desirable niche (insurance sales/administration via the web). An analogy for you to ponder: I asked an acting teacher of mine once "how many Al Pacinos and Meryl Streeps are out there?". I expected to hear "very few" because in my mind truly great actors are very rare. Her response was "there are MANY Als and Meryls in the acting world but they have yet to be in the right place at the right time and therefore they remain undiscovered". I think Viking's right place and time will come soon. As I am sure you have guessed by now, I believe in the second scenario. So, as laurennick says, if YOU believe, hang on. If you do not, sell your stock, someone will buy it. IMHO, the day will come when Wall Street will wake up and discover this gem and then, bar the doors; there will be a fast and furious battle to own shares.
