halfscot, it's nice to see you join in the discussion. And I would be very interested in hearing more about that book. Facts always put liberals in a difficult situation. It's the difference between the feelings crowd and thinking crowd. Maybe we should rename the two ideologies Conservative (thinking) Liberal (feeling). :-) Focusing on feelings alone is what brought us government tyranny in the past. So many horrific incidents of mans violence against man has been brought about by some evil power using feelings to generate government policy. The feelings crowd mantra of today... We feel that second hand smoke is killing millions of people. So let's ban the freedom and tax it into oblivion. We feel that people having access to guns is killing people. So let's take them all. After all we are the benign government. We feel that high taxes help the poor. So we raise them over and over again and suck the life energy out of average americans. We feel that using interns as sex toys in the oval office is just fine. So we turn a blind eye and excuse the behavior. We feel that people can't be trusted to save for their own retirement, So we must have a government run social security system. We feel that students should judge what is right or wrong. So we remove the authority historically given to teachers. We feel that parents of average income don't have the intelligence to select schools for their own children. So we have government forced education. We feel that parents spanking their kids is wrong. So we must have laws to prevent it. We feel that the having a free internet news media will create bogus news and negatively effect mindless americans. So ALBORE tries to prevent it. We feel we can design a social safety system better than you the average american can through volunterism. So we must have your money. And lots of it!. We the anoited liberal ones know more than you the pathetic Americans how to handle all these issues. So just give us your freedom, and your money. We know what is best! However, one question challenges all these liberal assumptions. Where is the evidence?? Michael
