<<i'm not sure what,
if any, specific connection to either will be revealed by ampex.>>

as most always just a guess, Randy ... but I think he simply means that each download enlarges the potential audience for content providers....demonstrates public interest. Anything more really would be intriguing.
Semi off topic....My cousin Harlow and his wife visited today ...he made a fortune in the lumber business in Virginia and North Carolina but still wears overalls and drives a 1940s Ford pickup. Really conservative when it comes to stocks ( almost never buys them). Asked me about Ampex ( we had spoken about it when it was at one- early November). Told him about the yahoo purchase of BCST ...described TVontheWebs business strategy and a little about the possible future of internet video ....discussed the risks with him ...mentioned the poor present quality of web video....expected him to chide me some...instead he spoke of when he first came to the DC area with a friend in the late fourties....how bad the quality of TV was then but how excited everyone was about it. Said he and his friend would keep an eye out for Tv antennas..."hey..they have one too!"
Sometime in the next couple of years, sure think there will be a similar excitement in the investing community, and despite the competition, demand for related shares will far outpace supply for a significant time.
