The LOGIC is: COMS a networking company who alone can barely hold its own ahgainst CISCO, though I hear its products are top notch.
ERICY (for instance) sees European telcos doing business with CISCO because it does not have a networking division. Therefore, COMS saves ERICY from becoming a 2nd tier company and ERICY saves COMS from having to go it alone against gigantically growing CISCO.

The LOGIC is: Palm Pilot the hardware of the future and COMS way ahead and #1 (almost a monopoly) in the hand-held computer field.
The future may be a combination wireless phone-computer-e-set which needs to be handheld. Every computer company wishes they owned the Pilot.

The PROBLEM is: COMS won't sell half its business, it sells all or none (I'm guessing here) so you have to buy us out or you do't get the Pilot or the networking. So? ERICY seems the perfect candidate. But NOKIA doesn't want them to get COMS. Nor do other big competitors.

The other PROBLEM is: If COMS doesn't sell out soon it will get overwhelmed by CISCO and the Palm will be copied bu too many others. Therefore it had better sell out or and join forces with a giant or else.

etc. etc.

See what I mean? There is logic here. Now let's watch what happens.

Mr. Bishop: I have listened to your "drabble" for so long that it is actually getting tiring. You can't substantiate any of your claims with hard data. Only an idiot like you would refuse to recognize the tremendous volumn of this past Friday and fail to recognize why the smart money is buying the stock! When are you going to wake up and shut up! I welcome you if you are short...you talk like it...I'll certainly enjoy your money in my bank account!

Cheers ole chap!
