To: Mang & all:

Okay....here are the results of my number crunching over the weekend.

Stock will open at approx $1.50 above Friday close. Volumn on Friday will substantiate a higher open most likely because of unfilled orders! Shorts will enter in early hrs as volumn increases and continue until "lunch time"! Some profit taking will occur from "new investors"...some have made 20%+ and will opt to take profits and sit on the sidelines awaiting for pullback...won't happen. If investors have "buy & hold strategy"...this will be a positive effect on share price and will certainly put pressure on traders inventory ! Remember...as volumn curve shifts...price curve will not remain static
where they intersect is "equilibrium"...this all depends upon how much stock is in "inventory"...trader on floor will control this factor!

I expect a break out at 30/sh and movement up to 31.50-32 high, a pull back to test 30...if volumn is strong and support holds then we could see 31/sh at close. All of this will occur without any news...3com mgmt will be having some sort of meeting with analyst at upcoming trade conference during this week (I forget the day)...so we could be going sideways until some sort of news is given to the mkt. At this point wise investors should not over anticipate nor under anticipate. Shorts are in the same position...they may not cover completely but the scale is certainly tipping away from them. Another factor to cause upward movement is shorts covering and buying into upward movement.

Sooooooo, for what it is worth...I see "win-win" buy and hold! I could be wrong...no crystal ball but numbers are indicating upward movement!

Note to Mr.Bishop: Even in a sell out...company will be sold 30% above 52wk high...that would give you a 15pt profit per share if you bought it around 50/sh! So....don't feel like you haven't eaten at the table...30% return on the dollar is a hell of a lot better than what the banks will give you! Save your "tears" for those poor suckers that put their money in savings accounts with those crooks that call themselves "your friendly banker"! Bankers, Brokers, & Borrowers...you can't trust any of them!

Good Luck tommorrow to everyone...

HKirby

Kirby,
You need to take a chill pill.
You have no right talking sh*t to anyone on this thread based on your posting history here. Please review your humiliating argument with bgg a while back. If you need me to point those out to you, I will. I don't understand your need to harass people that making valid points here.

Tim

Mr Kirby,

re: "Mr. Bishop: I have listened to your "drabble" for so long that it is actually getting tiring. You can't substantiate any of your claims with hard data."

I'm not sure what claims you're referring to. If you mean my fair value number of $26, well value is in the eye of the beholder. I base that on the expected earnings and going-forward growth rate estimate. I respect anyone's right to come up with a different number. I was probably wrong to attack someone for saying this was a $60 stock. That's their opinion. Fine. I should have been more tactful and polite I guess. I'm sorry I don't remember who that individual was, but I'd like to offer my humble apology to them and anyone else I might have offended. Apparently I got some people riled up; not my intention to be an antagonist or belligerent.

Not sure what other claims you might be referring to. That the 200 DMA has been falling for over two years? Just look at the chart. It looks like a trading stock, not a buy and hold stock. I'm a buy and hold type investor, and haven't done well with this one. That's why I'm unhappy with it. Not trying to talk it down; certainly not. I couldn't do that if I wanted to. Just acknowledging reality as I see it. I mean hey, it's reality that the stock has just been to a three-year low. I agree, this is a great time to be buying this stock. Even without the buyout, one could probably get a 100% gain out of this in a short time. It has done that a number of times over the last two and a half years.

re: "Only an idiot like you would refuse to recognize the tremendous volumn of this past Friday and fail to recognize why the smart money is buying the stock!"

Geez, name calling? I'll not stoop to that. I do recognize the volume and the strong up move. I agree that something major is either coming, or the market is completely fooled. The market is usually pretty good at anticipating events; we'll see what happens. I will be very happy to see the stock continue higher. But my confidence in the company has been hurt, and if they remain independent they will have a hard time winning it back. Not saying I'm demanding a sale. I'm just saying that I'm not sure if this is a long term buy and hold kind of investment anymore. In the previous earnings report, Eric made positive comments like "problems behind us", and "now returning to growth". This is from memory, so shouldn't put in quotes. This last news was not so positive. Unless I see some sort of indication that I'm going to get long term appreciation from this investment, I'm tempted to sell it after the next sizable runup to somewhere above $40.

I think this is a great company. There are many, many positives we can talk about. Then I look at the chart, and I think if I'm investing to make money, not lose money, well I've sure screwed up with this one.

re: "When are you going to wake up and shut up!"

I'm going to shut up right after this post. I too have been irritated at times by "trouble makers" on various threads. A few individuals can ruin a thread. There are some I've abandoned because of certain obnoxious individuals. I don't want to be one of those types, and I will not be drawn into, or participate in arguments, insults, name calling, and so on. So since I really don't have a lot of good things to say about this one right now, I'll bow out and leave you all alone. But I've got to tell you, it's a shame that only cheerleaders are welcome here. If I'm converted to a believer, maybe I'll come back and chat with you guys/gals in the future.

re: " I welcome you if you are short...you talk like it...I'll certainly enjoy your money in my bank account!"

I've been Long for 28 months now. I don't short stocks. I think it's easy enough to make money on the long side, present stock excepted. I've done better on most of my other holdings. I am fortunate enough to own Platinum Tech (PLAT) which is being acquired by CA, and I'll more than double my investment on that deal. Maybe we'll see a similar situation here. And I'll keep my money thank you.

I think it was Mang Cheng who tipped me off to the Nordby site. Thanks buddy; that's a great site. After I clicked on the link you provided, I must've been there for an hour fooling around.

Once again, apologies to any I've offended. Best of luck to us all.

A lurker

P.S. From now on I will not allow myself to post on any threads on SI when I've had a "few" Budweisers.
