(VBG)... and Crude Oil prices throughout the world ramped on this news as well didn't they ? ...in fact; was the Energy Sector not the days biggest losing sector today ? Robert, there is being WRONG - and then there is being clueless... Damn, maybe you just need to link that Bloomberg post on over to the boys at Fidelity - and when they see it and your comments - they'll ramp the OSX up again ! - I am ''sure'' that is all it will take.ROFLMAO. I'll give you a hint the 2nd time here; per the OGJ article - crude futures contracts have a huge imbalance - when OPEC announces positive news - ie: good initial compliance; - (which is allready known by the way) do you think there may be some profit taking ? - gee; do you think that all of this news might also be factored into present crude prices as well (VBG) ? Nahhh; I'm sure you are the only one who possess this brilliant acumen... Robert; OPEC compliance for the coming reporting period is a known entity. Recent articles on the shipping notifications ( ie: Empty Tankers) are old news. Perhaps, the Street ''bought the rumor and is selling the news'' - what a novel concept... those trickey devils...got us agian didn't they ? yup, yup...sure did. Those CEO comments warned us that we need to move back the timeframe in expected recovery. Now right after a 50% one month run up - how damn difficult was it to predict a retracement ? Didn't you hear all of those footsteps running to the door ? The real danger here - and the only reason we could continue to sell off imho; is if this ''feeds off of itself''. We had huge volume and many institutions are sitting on huge one month profits - if there is a rush for the door to lock in gains - it may get ugly... and the retracement could continue. My ''play'' wasn't even about a retracement - it was on the overwhelming risk vs. reward odds of taking profits at the OSX top and simultaneously ''rotating'' into the E&P's. We had a fundamental reversal ! - that was the most important factor here ! The risk went higher on the OSX given the CEO comments - the rewards were minimized by their 50% one month run - literally the fastest gain in 30 years ! - and selling here was NOT a good idea ? - okie dokey.... My thoughts were not Bearish; they were "Rotation'' oriented - I never lost any degree of Bullishness on the Oilpatch - just that the timeframe factor presented yet another no-brainer, on a risk vs. reward basis and it worked in spades... it worked very, very well. Buy & holders got their retracement and I got to take my OSX 45 to 68-77 profits and put them in the bank and also, via rotation got some 30-40-80% ''pops'' once again from the E&P's. .....by the way Robert; you do remember FEN don't you ? Talk about duplicity... yea, Robert you should have picked it up in the morning when I ''livetime'' posted it at about 40% cheaper ... that one was a near triple - but I am sure Sarge thinks it was all a ''rewrite''.... enough to make you wanna puke... I guess MEXP BEXP HMAR HLX et al were all figments of Sarge's imagination.... all ''rewrites''.... why bother... SargeK, I have no idea why you would call me a liar - in your words ''rewriting the past'' and ''it just ain't so'' ? There are ''in your face'' differences of opinions - and then there are ankle biting cheap shots that are in reality - simple lies. - no big deal; but it does leave me wondering why - what's your motive in this misrepresentation ? I can think of no one else who comments on their own livetime trades more than I ... not that I am Geoprge Soros - but, I'd like to see more real time trading oriented discussions; that is my only intention in posting my trading thoughts and if you didn't see the ''livetime'' nature of them - you had to be blind. SargeK - perhaps, cutting and pasting old outdated Yahoo profile stats on GIFI & UFAB and missing about 5 trading opportunities of 30-50% that I did post on GIFI - is of more value.... You & a few others here can keep blindly cheerleading and waving those pom-poms - and maybe someday we will just move in a straight parabolic line from OSX 45 to 120 on just your chortling alone . Didn't help much with all that cheerleading on Cityscape - now did it ? Do you guys really think that if ''anyone'' here discusses ''taking profits'', or selling - that it is going to make the market selloff and affect your personal positions ? That is the only reason I can see for the ridiculous level of blind, one-way discussion here. It is so damn ironic - actually it is hilarious; to come full circle from the ''mad'' Bull - to being Roberts ''SHORT'' ... Quite simply; we've had a near decades worth of trading cycles and individual trading opportunities in just 8 months. Only the internets could offer this much volatilty. Never has trading, versus buying and holding been so rewarding. With the defined quadruple bottoms we had, never was trading so easy. If there EVER was a time to critize trading versus merely "Buying & Holding'' - it would certainly NOT be of late.... PS - this is ''you'' - ''TRADING"here wasn't it Bobby ? ... and I'm sure you also missed the point of selling on the spike and holding ''only'' zero cost basis shares....
