Mohan - I hope you realised that I was being facetious. Of all the politicians so far, I have liked Vajpayee the most. I hope the new elections gives him a majority so he can really do something for India without having to cater to the goondas in politics. - Ratan

I am no BJP sympathiser, but really I can't shake the feeling that the K.R. Narayanan has not been completely unbiased in this process. Why did he give so much time to Sonia to try and cobble up a majority and then did not give a second chance to the BJP? With the loss of lok sabha seats staring them in the face many MPs would have switched sides if the BJP led coalition had a second go at showing majority support.

Of course it is possible that the BJP didn't want a second chance at all, thinking that they can use the "sympathy factor" to strengthen their position in the house in a snap poll.
