I have actually read Anna Karenina, it's one of Tolstoy's more accessible works, but I haven't read all of War and Peace. Nor Moby Dick, for that matter. They sat on my shelves, making me feel guilty, for years. A few years ago, we had a blizzard and were snowed in for a week, and I finally gave both of them a fair shot. I decided that I really didn't want to read either one, it wasn't that I couldn't, I just wouldn't. But they are still on the shelves, waiting for their opportunity to make the children feel guilty.
